Michel van Schaik

President / CEO

Mr. van Schaik is the President / CEO of Aquaox, LLC, and COO of its subsidiary company, Aquaox Solutions Unlimited LLC.


Mr. van Schaik is a pioneer in Electrochemical Activated (ECA) Water technology. Educated and obtaining a degree in business administration at HEAO, Arnhem, Netherlands in 1994, Mr. Van Schaik developed his skills and expertise in ECA technology in Europe before moving to the US in 2006. He is considered the foremost expert and business leader in the development and use of ECA technology for green environmental cleaning and disinfection in the field of health care. Mr. van Schaik is the founding member and CEO of AQUAOX™ LLC which is the country’s leading developer of patent-pending equipment for the production of Hypochlorous Acid and Greenspeed™ USA, LLC which designs and develops proprietary equipment and systems to apply and use Hypochlorous Acid nanobubble solutions.

These solutions have been identified by the Centers for Disease Control to be one of the most powerful, effective, safe, and sustainable disinfectants known to mankind. Mr. van Schaiks’s solutions are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), eliminate all known superbugs, bacteria, viruses, and fungi within seconds, and are significant components of his highly recognized, proprietary infection control system. Through the use of these products and developed protocols, he has dramatically reduced hospital-acquired infections at numerous hospitals and set new standards in environmental services. He has developed proprietary electrolytic cells and computerized ECA Water generators for on–site production. These certified generators and solutions are currently in use at several locations throughout the United States, South America, Europe, and Japan.


Terje van Schaik

Executive Vice President / Secretary

Ms. van Schaik is the Founder, Principal, and President of Greenspeed USA LLC, an Aquaox preferred supplier of high-quality innovative microfiber products. Ms. van Schaik is graduated from Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences with, Bachelor in Service Management. Recently, Ms. van Schaik graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with, Bachelor in Arts. Ms. van Schaik worked 10 years for Estonian Air, first as a flight attendant and later holding several managerial positions. 

After moving to the US in 2016, Ms. van Schaik used her skills to support the company in multiple ways and was instrumental in the growth of Aquaox. Ms. van Schaik’s current activities are to support online sales, manage customer service and execute administrative tasks. 

Marco van Schaik

VP Manufacturing, Procurement & Equipment Sales 

Mr. van Schaik is the President / CEO of Aquaox BV.  

Mr. van Schaik developed his skills and expertise in ECA technology managing Aquaox’s manufacturing activities of electrolytic cells, onsite generators, and ancillary systems to produce, apply and use Hypochlorous Acid solutions for over 25 years. He has co-developed proprietary electrolytic cells and computerized ECA Water generators for on–site production. 


These certified generators and solutions are currently in use at several locations throughout the World.  Mr. van Schaik is currently developing Water Treatment Systems for other markets or applications using electrochemically generated Mixed Oxidant Water solutions to remove, kill or neutralize organisms in water without the addition of (harmful) chemicals) for Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Production, and Fisheries as well for use in the Food processing industry.  Future development will be small(er) ECA water generators designed for Municipalities (e.g. schools, colleges, universities, nursing homes, and activity centers).

Next to manufacturing skills, Mr. van Schaik acquired vast experience installing, servicing, and maintaining ECA Water generators for use within a multitude of applications and facilities including aboard vessels.


Mike Ricks
Production & Sales Solutions

Mr. Ricks is the CEO of Aquaox Water Solutions Unlimited LLC, a subsidiary of Aquaox LLC and Water Solutions Unlimited Inc. Mr. Ricks holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Wabash College and worked for several years in the Banking Industry before making a career within GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals for over 20 years.  While at GlaxoSmithKline, Mr. Ricks started in sales, grew into sales management, and became the nationwide sales director for it’s largest-selling product. In this position, Mr. Ricks managed the state Medicaid and was responsible for getting our product on insurance formularies in the Midwest.  


Mr. Ricks became a partner in Water Solutions Unlimited, Inc. a chemical distributor focused on drinking water quality for municipalities.  Using Aquaox ECA Water as a secondary disinfectant, municipalities were able to significantly reduce the formation of toxic by-products. For over 10 years, Aquaox and Water Solutions Inc. fine-tuned the Aquaox technology to help battle organic and biofilm buildup in water distribution lines.

 

In 2020, as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Water Solutions Unlimited, Inc. formed a 50/50 venture with Aquaox LLC named Aquaox Solutions Unlimited, LLC. to produce large quantities of constant quality of ECA Water supplied nationwide at an affordable price to resellers as well end-users.  At present, Aquaox Solutions Unlimited LLC can quickly supply virtually any volume of ECA water nationwide.   


Mark Nagano
Production & Sales Nanobubbles

Mr. Nagano has more than 35 years of success in the Environmental Science industry, including senior management roles in sales and operations. He is the current CFO at SIO USA and is responsible for providing leadership, management, technology development, and strategic planning.

Before joining SIO USA, Mr. Nagano spent 25 years as Director of International Business and Technology Development for Tech Corporation, Ltd., a leading Japanese Environmental Science and technology company. Tech Corporation pioneered the development and commercialization of Electrolyzed Water, Food Waste bio-digesters, and Nanobubble Technology for which it received numerous patents.

In addition, he held general management assignments in Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Mexico. Mr. Nagano graduated with a bachelor’s degree in commerce and administration from Hiroshima University.


Advisory Board

Nick Stanley

Mr. Stanley was born on March 1, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN.  He graduated from DePauw University in 1969.  Mr. Stanley served in the USAir Force from 1969-1973, resigning his commission as a Captain in the Active Duty Service.  He received his MBA from the University of Georgia the same day as his four-year military commitment was up.  Mr. Stanley then worked for Procter & Gamble in Austin, TX for three years, after which he started his water treatment career in December of 1975 with Nalco Chemical in West Texas.  After a year, he transferred to Betz Laboratories, Inc. in Houston and worked till 1985 treating boilers and cooling towers in the Houston Ship Channel Area.  Mr. Stanley helped start Napco Chemical Co. in Spring, TX and sold that business in 1987 to start another business named Water Solutions Unlimited, Inc (WSU) in Indianapolis, IN.  Mr. Stanley sold WSU on January 1, 2019, staying on as a Consultant-Founder for another 3 years.  While at WSU, he worked with Electrolyzed Water (EW) for over 14 years, and as of 2023, Mr. Stanley will use his vast knowledge in water treatment working for Aquaox Solutions Unlimited, LLC as Executive Vice President.


Dr. Reza Ovissipour

Dr. Ovissipour, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Texas A&M University. He has a Ph.D. in Bioprocessing and a Ph.D. in Biological Systems Engineering from Washington State University. His program focuses on sustainable food production systems and developing novel technologies to enhance food safety, and food security, while reducing carbon footprint. He is working on Alternative proteins, Cellular agriculture, and Food safety engineering.

Dr. Ovissipour, formerly working as an Assistant Professor, Seafood AREC/Department of Food Science and Technology, Virginia Tech University. He received his first Ph.D. in Seafood Science and Technology in 2010 from TMU, in Iran, and his second Ph.D. in Biological Systems Engineering from Washington State University in 2017. He came to the U.S. in 2011 and started working as a researcher and lab manager at the School of Food Science, Washington State University from 2011 to 2015 and Research Associate, the Department of Food Science and Technology, UC Davis, Davis, CA. (Dr. Nitin’s Lab) from 2017 to 2018.

Dr. Ovissipour published more than 60 papers in the area of food science and food safety and served as an industry advisory board member for USDA-WRAC and a scientific board member for several start-up companies. He has several patents and was the founder of a biotechnology company in Iran and commercialized several products. Currently, his research is centered around food safety engineering.


Octavio Cieza, M.D.

A native of Peru, Dr. Cieza is the current Director of Infection Control and Epidemiology of UNC Johnston UNC Health Care. Dr Cieza received his medical degree from the National University of San Marcos in Lima. He completed his internship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH, where he also completed an internal medicine residency. Dr. Cieza finished a 2-year infectious disease joint fellowship program at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois.

Dr. Cieza received HIV/AIDS clinical training at the University of Texas at Houston and has been involved in numerous clinical research trials and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Dr. Cieza is fluent in English and Spanish.

Fred Ma, M.D.

Dr. Ma is a medical executive with over 26 years of experience overseeing the strategic direction of pharmaceutical, biomedical, and medical device production. Currently, he is the Chief Medical Officer at RMS Medical Products, Inc. His fields of expertise are in CNS, oncology, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, anti-fungal, wound healing, In vitro diagnostic, and other related disciplinary areas. Dr. Ma has advised top policymakers from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as global regulatory agencies (e.g. EMA, WHO, Health Canada, TGA, PMDA, CFDA, etc.).

Dr. Ma also successfully adopted an advanced surgical method along with the device for cervical vertebral decompression, fusions on disc herniation, and was one of the first tier of neurosurgeons in China to introduce stereotactic neurosurgery to treat functional neuro-disorders, including epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease, trigeminal neuralgia, and hemifacial spasm and served as principal investigator for a WHO clinical research project at Tokyo University Hospital of Tokyo, Japan for malignant brain tumor clinical research (a large Phase III/IV study) – “Effects of Simultaneous Chemotherapy and Radiation on Malignant Gliaoma”. Dr. Ma received his M.D. from Capital University of Medical Sciences, Beijing, his D.M.Sc. at the University of Tokyo and his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Rutgers University of New Jersey- Newark.

Ted Schenberg 

Mr. Schenberg is an Entrepreneurial CEO and private equity executive with over 40 years of success building companies, creating jobs, and creating shareholder value. Executive leadership experience with a strong emphasis on accounting, finance, sales/marketing, bank/ investor relations, and operations. Broad transactional expertise including start-ups, acquisitions, reorganizations, and harvest of 13 companies (several as a major equity stakeholder). Founded and acquired companies in the life sciences, chemical, aerospace, internet security, construction, and food processing industries. Three portfolio companies were acquired by publicly traded firms.

Mr. Schenberg received his MBA in Business Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, his BA, in Accounting from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and a former board member of the Indiana University, Johnson Center, and Vibenomics, Incorporated.

Jean Félix Larose

Dr. Jean F. Larose, a Canadian senior veterinarian, has been a consultant for more than 30 years in alternative health programs for animals and sustainable agriculture focusing on methods, products and programs that reduce the ecological footprint and secure sustainable production of food. Dr. Larose has worked as a consultant for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and has experience in bio-security measures for the management of global-threatening zoonosis.

Jean recognizes important improvements in the health status of farm animals where electrochemical-activated solutions are being used to disinfect surfaces and prevent and removal of biofilms. Dr. Larose’s interest is to conduct R&D in the nebulization of HOCL solutions to improve the cleanliness of the environment, improve air quality to benefit the health and well-being of animals. Dr. Larose is presently the scientific director of AQUAOXAN SOLUTION INC., our Canadian partner whose mission is to develop AQUAOX protocols throughout the Canadian healthcare and institutional sectors.
